“ We were gonna originally go somewhere else but it was a 1 hour wait so we decided to go to this restaurant down the street. We mentioned we had to leave quickly because of our tour and we were in and out in 45 minutes. They were really accommodating! we got amazing oysters and I had one of the specials (salmon) which was excellent. Our waitress was the best I unfortunately forgot her name but it was like Ollie or something. If your able too request her! Totally recommend! -Jonathan ”
“ A lovely locals restaurant with a tourist vibe. I had read previous reviews saying it was upscale and casual and that hits it pretty much spot on. Terrific food friendly service and reasonable prices. Try it and make sure you add the lobster mac and cheese and delicious crispy brussel sprouts you won't regret it ”
“ My girlfriend and I loved it, we sat outside and had the broiled crabcakes and a salmon special they were running with pesto. I can honestly say Holly was one of the best servers I’ve ever had and if we visit Chincoteague again would absolutely be back to AJs. ”

“ When you come to the coast you always want to get a good seafood meal well this is the place. If you would like to enjoy a night out with your better half this is the place. The ambiance is soft and quiet. The food is everything you could ask for. Fresh and played beautifully. Pricey but who cares if the food satisfies your taste. ”
“ AJ's did not disappoint! This was my absolute favorite restaurant on the island for years. We returned this evening, and everything was fantastic. Holly, our server, was incredibly friendly and provided perfect service. From the cocktail to the cream of crab soup to key lime pie for dessert (house made), the food was amazing. The crab soup was perfection with huge lumps of crab, sherry, and old bay that was just the right amount. The bread, crab cakes, green beans, and vegetable of the day (squash, zucchini, carrots, and a bit of red onion) were outstanding. The key lime pie was excellent. I haven't had such a perfect meal in a very, very long time. Kudos to Holly for being an excellent server. We felt very valued and treated especially well. I brought one of the crab cakes, veggies, and bread back to where we are staying for a repeat meal tomorrow. ”
